SOLAS Liferafts
The latest range of liferafts from DSB, the LR05(L) is approved to SOLAS Ch. III, the LSA code section 4.1 and 4.2 (as amended) and with an EC Type approval certificate. These wheel-marked liferafts are available in the sizes detailed below:

All the rafts are packed in GRP containers and have the following safety features;
- Water pockets and a large drogue for stability
- A simple, zip-closure entrance in the double canopy with the addition of an insulated floor provides for protection and insulation from the elements
- A high visibility canopy fitted with retro-reflective tape and the latest exterior lights ensure the liferaft will be seen
- Depending on the type required the liferafts will be fitted with type "A" or type "B" emergency equipment shown in the table below

Packed in GRP containers these liferafts incorporate all the safety features of their jettison type cousins with the addition of a strong, tested lifting arrangement which allows it to be deployed on a davit before being boarded and safely lowered to the water with its full complement. |
