The recovery of a manoverboard presents particular problems for the crew trying to make the recovery.
I.C. Brindle & Co. has four different solutions to the problem, leaving the operator to choose the system most suitable for their own circumstance and vessel.
SURVIVOR STROPThis is a high specification strop manufactured along the lines of the well known helicopter rescue strop. Each strop is individually tested to an SWL of 150 kg and is supplied with its own test certificate.
“QUICK” STROPAlso manufactured from high specification materials, the ”QUICK” Strop is a US Coastguard approved helicopter rescue strop. To prevent the casualty falling out of the strop, a crotch strap is incorporated which is stowed in a zipped pocket on the back of the strop.
SB RESCUE SLINGWeighing only 3 kg, the SB Rescue Sling is one of the most valuable manoverboard recovery systems ever designed for low freeboard applications, inland waterway requirements and canal or river side. The SB Rescue Sling can be used as a stand alone unit or in conjunction with a recovery davit.
C-RESCUE CAGEWhere horizontal recovery in difficult conditions is called, there is no better unit than the C-Rescue CAGE. Capable of lifting and rescuing two persons, the aluminium cage offers protection to the survivor whilst they are hoisted up the side of the vessel to safety.
